Noise in the world

This morning during my meditation, God spoke to me quite clearly. He reminded me that the world is such a noisy place. The TV, radio, newspapers, social media. We are constantly being blasted with the noise of the world. The worlds messages of what’s right and wrong, what we should be doing, what dreams we should be chasing, how to ‘be’ successful, what we need to do to make us happy. That noise is constant and loud. It is everywhere and it is all the time.

Im not saying the worlds message is completely wrong, but it is only part of the message. The most important part is often omitted, the message of Jesus. We can not as Christian’s allow the message of the world to be louder than the message of Jesus. We can not let the worlds message dupe people into chasing ONLY worldly things. WE need to be that voice, like a lighthouse that guides people to safety, and reminds them that worldly things can be good but only in their proper order. We need to repeat that message often, not just for other people’s sakes, but for our own as well, so that the message of the gospel doesn’t get drowned out by the message of the world.
