About Us
We want to share the joy that we have found in faith with everyone!
Its seemed unfair that we should have so much joy and not share the cause of that joy with others.
It is our aim to share with you our knowledge and experiences, answer questions you may have, and bring you to a place where you have all the facts and can make an informed decision for yourself.

We wanted to provide a safe, relaxed and friendly community environment where people can come to gain the answers they are looking for without fear of being pressured into something.

That is why we created Olneycatholic, so that everyone gets the opportunity to hear about Jesus and the Church and make their own decision at their own pace on if or how they want to proceed.

We are so excited to accompany you, but we understand that this is YOUR journey not ours, so feel free to take the motorway, the scenic route, or make a pit stop whenever you like.

My Story
I was Baptised Catholic as a baby and made my Holy Communion and Confirmation in the traditional way. When I started work at 17 my parents left it up to me as to whether I wanted to continue to practise my faith. They had laid the foundation, and then left me free to chose. I chose another road and not to continue practising my faith. Don't get me wrong, I still believed there was a God, or 'someone' out there in the Universe but I didn't attend church, didn't spend anytime in prayer, and lived life by my own rules!

The thing was, I wasn't happy! I searched for happiness in the things of this world, success at work, money, fun, holidays, nice cars and houses, expensive watches and designer clothes. I would be happy for a short time, but then would be looking for the next thing to make me happy. It never lasted, and I felt like something was missing. I thought, 'i must be made for more than this'.

Then in my early 30's I had an epiphany in the middle of the night - if you knew how heavily I sleep you would know for something to wake me up is a miracle in itself!
Anyway, long story short - I ended up returning to the faith, and from that point onwards my life was never the same again! I felt genuinely happy and experienced real joy even during dark times, and that is the story I want to share with everyone. Its too good a recipe to keep to myself, I want everyone to have that deep seated unshakable joy and hope that I have.
I know though, it can be really scary to walk into a church when you haven't been in one before, or for a while at least. When your scared of how you have lived and worried that your not 'good enough or holy enough' to be in a church, so I decided to create an online space where people can ask the difficult questions, make some connections and learn in a comfortable space that they control.
