Change your perspective

My Papa always used to say ‘count your blessings’. It was only as I travelled through life’s ups and downs I realised the true impact of actually doing this!

Our joy or happiness doesn’t come from what we have or how much of it we have. It comes from our perspective. So here is my challenge to you today… if you were to wake up tomorrow morning ONLY having the things you thanked God for today, what would you wake up with?

List the things you have now that you want to keep or the things you don’t have that you don’t want to have!

Make it a habit to be grateful or to count your blessings. Ruined the dinner? Be thankful you have food. Got to work late, be thankful to have a job to go to, or my personal favourite, imagine what those few minutes being late leaving the house might have saved you from. Someone cut you up on the road, be thankful it wasn’t an accident. Someone rude to you? Be grateful that you aren’t going through whatever made them so sharp.

So whatever circumstances come your way today, I challenge you to find a way to make it something to be thankful for.

Count your blessings …..

We entrust the work on this website to the patronage of Our Blessed Mother Mary.  As she brought Jesus to us, we entrust her to bring us to Him.

We also seek the intercession of St John Paul II whose Papal moto 'Totus Tuus' (which means totally yours) we have used on this website.

We further ask for the intercession of Saint Carlo Acutis who used the world wide web to bring stories of the Eucharistic Miracles to the world.

And finally, we seek the intercession of St Dominic, the founder of the Order of Preachers as we joyfully preach the good news of the Gospel - Laudare - Benedicere - Praedicare (To Praise - To Bless - To Preach)

Our Lady, St John Paul, Saint Carlo Acutis, Saintt Dominic - Ora Pro Nobis (Pray for us)
