Life’s a circus, and we’re all juggling flaming torches of obligations and distractions! In the chaos, it’s easy to lose focus. But hey, placing faith at the center can help us navigate this three-ring show. Embracing interruptions might just turn stress into a moment of growth, revelation and become a faith encounter!
Interruptions are like surprise guests at a party—uninvited but often entertaining! Whether it’s a sudden change in plans or your cat deciding to join a Zoom call, or something more serious like a late night visit to the emergency room, these moments can test our patience. But they are also opportunities for grace, they remind us that we aren't in control, and like a divine plot twist, very often afford us an unexpected opportunity for growth along the way!
Honest to goodness, one day I pray for patience, then I find myself stuck behind the bin lorry, followed by temporary traffic lights at roadworks, and finally held up at the train crossing... all on my way to work. I see the funny side, and tell God, I don't think I want any more opportunities to practice patience today thank you! I've been stuck in a hospital waiting room running 2 hours behind, and after my initial huffing and puffing I delve into my bag and find a short book I've been carrying around for 6 months and never found the time to read. I read it whilst I'm waiting, and there was something in that book I really needed to hear. My delay turned out to be a little blessing!
I remember falling sick with a chronic illness. I was really annoyed with God. Here I was practically bed bound. I raged against Him that didn't He know I could be doing so much for Him if He hadn't allowed me to get sick. I felt this overwhelming clarity of Him saying to me gently 'how else was I supposed to get you to slow down and spend some time with me'
When life gets chaotic, look for the providence in it. So, take a deep breath and let those interruptions be little nudges from above!
How about we say thank you to God for the interruption (even when we don't feel thankful at all), and ask Him what He wants us to learn from it.
Instead of fighting the chaos, why not dance with it? A surprise interruption good or bad could be a gift from God that you just need to unwrap. Jesus was the king of interruptions—he turned them into opportunities for compassion and teaching.

Conclusion
Finding peace in the chaos of life is not about eliminating interruptions, but about embracing them with faith. By shifting our perspective, incorporating prayer, and finding support within our communities, we can turn moments of upheaval into opportunities for spiritual growth. Through faith, we can learn to see interruptions as pivotal elements of our journey rather than mere obstacles. The more we practice this mindset, the more we can shine as beacons of peace in a sometimes chaotic world. Embrace the interruptions— they may just lead you closer to God.
