Faithfulness in the little things

As Christians God calls us to a higher standard. To be faithful in little things because He knows that little things lead to big things.
What do I mean by that?
Well it can be easy to justify little actions that we think nothing of. Things like using unlicensed streaming services, downloading music you haven’t paid for, sharing software licenses, not telling a business when they have missed off something from your bill, or even avoiding paying the right amount of tax, doing personal business at work, telling a white lie.. the list goes on . These might seem harmless, and maybe they are… to others, but the effect of it is not harmless to us. Jesus calls us to render unto Ceasar what is Ceasars. Jesus calls us to a standard of excellence not because it is ‘the right thing to do’, but because these small things damage us spiritually because they are sinful and contrary to the commandments. Falling short in small things, often leads to bigger things.
There is a popular theory that changing the course of a ship by one degree can set you off target by 500 miles. This is true for us Christians. Falling short in one small area consistently could eventually change the course of our and those we loves eternal destination!
So today, take on the challenge to be faithful in little things and to hold yourself and those you care about accountable when you see that slippery slope approaching.
